Torreón

a city and its surrounding municipality in the Mexican state of Coahuila. In the 2005 census it had a population of 548,723 in the city and 577,477 in the municipality. The population was 1,110,890 in the metropolitan area, including Matamoros in the state of Coahuila, as well as Gómez Palacio and Lerdo in the adjacent state of Durango.
