Kirkuk (also spelled Karkuk or Kerkuk; Arabic: كركوك, Kirkūk; Ottoman Turkish: کرکوک, Kurdish: كهركووك, Kerkûk; Syriac: ܐܪܦܗܐ, Arrapha; Persian: کرکوک is a city in northern Iraq and capital of Kirkuk Governorate.
