Miami-Dade County

Miami-Dade County (formerly known as Dade County, and was often referred to as Metro-Dade County) is a county located in the southeastern part of the state of Florida. The United States Census Bureau estimates that the county population was 2,402,208 in 2005, making it the most populous county in the state and the eighth most populous county in the nation. The county seat is Miami, located in the northeastern part of the county.
